 Wharington International Pty Ltd is proud to be part of Victoria's manufacturing history, founded in 1889 by G.H. Wharington, the Wharington Wolverhampton Japanning Works operated in Lonsdale Street, Melbourne. The company continued as Wharington Brothers, directed by the sons of the founder before passing to William Karklins in the early 1970's and continues today as a family business.
The company has a diverse range of products and services, reflecting the technological changes of the last one hundred and twenty years of the companies establishment. Today there are only a few items that we manufacture today for the companies early years, like stainless steel fruit and vegetable scoops, meteorological equipment and lighting.
Wharington International are specialist engineers, designing and supplying Original and After-Sales Truck and Bus Hydraulic and Diesel Tanks and Spare Parts to the Heavy Automotive industry. Wharington specialise in manufacturing custom tanks to customer specification in steel, aluminium and stainless steel as well as holding a large range of stock tanks and accessories for quick despatch to our Australia-wide network of distributors.
As contract engineers specialising in general metal fabrication of industrial components and products, Wharington has completed contracts in a variety of areas, including lighting, meteorological equipment components, architectural projects, museum installations and office fit outs. Wharington are specialist fabricators of the sustainable alloy stainless steel, eco-efficient manufacturing for longevity and recyclability.
Wharington has supplied the furniture manufacturing industry for over thirty years with components including metal furniture frames, table bases and Recopol™ recycled engineering grade plastic mouldings for framing upholstered furniture.
Wharington manufactures a large range of quality, sustainable commercial furniture for government, corporate, hospitality and educational sectors. The range includes task and executive office chairs, general seating, sofas, tubs and lounge chairs, stools and tables and outdoor furniture.
Wharington has developed the award winning Shute-to-Shelf™ Ergonomic Library Returns System, creating efficient and safe library Returns workplaces with a range of both custom and stock library equipment.
